Carburettor Button Kits

The white top buttons on the GL1000 Keihin Carburettors almost always have crazing at the least and cracks at the worst. If they get severely cracked, the carburettor will not operate correctly as it requires the top to be leakproof to ensure the vacuum operation of the slide.
Even if they are not that bad, the crazing holds the dirt and makes the tops very difficult to clean.
If you have pride in your machine, this can be very frustrating.

There is an excellent solution to ALL these problems. Well know Ex-Honda man Ross Davis from the USA has come up with a simple but very effective beautifying kit for the GL1000.

Each kit consists of four moulded, domed plastic buttons, either white with red Honda logo or black with silver Honda logo and four black 'O' rings together with full instructions. The logos are on the underside of the buttons, ensuring that they stay bright through time.

My own bike has been fitted with these, as have several sets of carbs I have refurbished.

Details like this can make or break the look of all your hard restoring work if they are overlooked.
